Priyanka Chopra is an actress and model, best known for her roles in Baywatch (2017), Bajirao Mastani (2015), Mary Kom (2014) and Fashion (2008).

Biography

Priyanka Chopra was born on July 18, 1982 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand to Late Dr. Ashok Chopra and Madhu Akhaurishe. Since both her parents were doctors in an Indian Army, she completed her education from lot of places but still Bareilly remains real home to her. Places she has been to study : La Martiniere Girls School in Lucknow, Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts, John F. Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Lowa, Army School in Bareilly and Jai Hind College in Mumbai. Before starting her acting career, she has also worked as a model which helped her win 'Miss World' title in 2000.

In 2002, she first appeared in the Tamil song 'Thamizhan' and in 2003 made her Bollywood debut with the movie The Hero: Love Story of a Spy as a supporting actress. She performed her first lead role in the movie Andaaz (2003). She got honoured for her achievements in Hindi cinema and was bestowed with Padma Shri title from the President, Pranab Mukherjee, at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Harper's Bazaar revealed 150 of the Most Fashionable Women Now and Priyanka made it to the list under The New Guard. Priyanka Chopra, along with mother Dr. Madhu Chopra, started Purple Pebble Productions, under which she has planned to produce five regional films. She has produced a Marathi film, Ventilator and also sang a song, 'Baba'.

Her debut single, "In My City," featured will.i.am and was the voice of the NFL Network's Thursday Night Football franchise for the 2012-13 season. In July 2013 she released her second single "Exotic" featuring rapper Pitbull. Her third single, a cover of Bonnie Raitte's "I Can't Make You Love Me" was released in April 2014.

In 2015, Chopra made her American television debut in the lead role of Alex Parrish on the ABC thriller series Quantico.

In 2016, Chopra was cast in the role of Victoria Leeds on Seth Gordon's action comedy film Baywatch, which was released in theaters on May 25, 2017.

In 2017, Chopra was cast as Isabella in the romantic comedy, Isn't It Romantic?. The film is scheduled to release on February 14, 2019. In the same year, the actress was cast as Amal in the drama film A Kid Like Jake. The film is scheduled to be released on June 8, 2018.
